Strata Pest Control
We provide pest management services to some of Geelong’s most iconic buildings and many of the newer apartments blocks.
The best way to keep pests from your strata is to be proactive. It is much better to stop pests from coming into the building than to have to use reactive pest control and prevent them afterwards.
Whose responsibility is it to control pests in Strata?
Common areas are generally the responsibility of the Strata.
Internally depending on your lease or tenancy the responsibility falls on you if you have caused the issue or 6 months has passed.
For example, if a user’s area is dirty or they breached agreed conditions, or made unauthorised modifications of the building or encouraged ways to allowed pests to congregate, then the strata owners have an obligation to ensure that the tenant takes care of the issue.
Because multiple people live or work in a strata complex, many people will be affected therefore the issue will need to be dealt with.
